9to5Amazon exists to give readers accurate, useful and independent coverage of Amazon. These are the standards every story is held to.
We would rather be right than first. Every factual claim is checked against a primary source — an official Amazon or AWS announcement, documentation, filing, earnings release, or a named, credible person — before publication. See our Fact-Checking Policy.
Reviews and hands-on guides are written by people who have actually used the product or service. Technical explainers are written or reviewed by someone with practical experience of the technology. Each article names its author, and each author has a public profile describing their background.
Amazon has no say over what we publish. We do not accept payment for coverage, and advertisers and affiliate partners have no influence over editorial decisions. Review units, if ever provided, are disclosed and do not guarantee positive coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
News reports what happened. Analysis explains why it matters, based on evidence. Opinion pieces are clearly labelled and reflect the author's view.
Developing stories are updated as facts emerge, with the update time shown. Errors are corrected promptly and transparently under our Corrections Policy.
How we use AI tools, and the human oversight around them, is described in our AI Use Policy.
The Editor-in-Chief, Lov Singh, is responsible for all editorial content. Questions about our standards: hello@9to5amazon.com.
